M. Susan Takaichi
Sue graduated from California State University Chico with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Accounting and earned her Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Sue is a former senior tax manager of the international public accounting firm Deloitte & Touche and has over 25 years of experience. After leaving Deloitte & Touche, Sue co-founded Nomi * Takaichi, LLP as a tax only practice firm specializing in individual, partnership, corporate, trusts, gift and estate tax, high net worth individuals, venture capital and closely held businesses.
Mark graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Accounting and later earned an MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Before starting his own tax practice he worked for the international public accounting firm Deloitte & Touche in the tax department. He and SueTakaichi founded Nomi & Takaichi, LLP in 1993. Mark lives in Aptos and works primarily out of the Capitola office.
Kim joined Nomi * Takaichi, LLP in 2005 from Deloitte & Touche, LLP where as a Principal she led the Venture Capital and Private Client Advisor practice in San Jose. She is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of professional experience providing services to investment partnership and venture capital industries, closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. Her background includes complex tax planning and compliance, strategic business planning including formation and succession planning, estate and gift tax planning, AMT planning, and option planning. Kim got her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at the University of Santa Clara, as well as receiving her J.D. from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
Bruce is a partner at Nomi-Takaichi, LLP with over twenty five years of combined experience in both public accounting and private accounting, including working as a Tax Manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP and as the Director of Tax , Risk Management and Credit & Collections at Xicor, Inc. Bruce's experience includes servicing privately and publicly held corporations, partnerships, trusts, non-profit organizations and high net worth individuals. Bruce has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from San Jose State University and Master of Business of Administration in Finance from Golden Gate University. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accounts.
Mark joined Nomi * Takaichi, LLP in 2015 after being Director of Tax at Spansion, Inc. and then Cypress Semiconductor. Prior to that Mark was a partner at Armanino, LLP. He has 17 years of experience specializing in compliance and consulting for individuals, high-tech start-ups, venture capital funds, and large multi-national corporations. Mark is a Certified Public Accountant in California and Hawaii. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, his Juris Doctorate and his Master’s of Accounting from Gonzaga University as well as receiving his L.L.M in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
